Islampur: The Congress submitted a memorandum to the SDO seeking resolution of various problems being faced by patients, including not having regular sanitization of the Kovid Hospital set up at Islampur Urdu Academy. Congress leaders alleged that the toilet of the Kovid Hospital is not clean, adding that the patients of the hospital are not getting regular meals. At the same time, the hospital is not being sanitized regularly. On Monday, on behalf of the Islampur Block Congress Committee, a memorandum was submitted to the governor of Islampur, Alankrita Pandey, on the three-point demands, raising all these allegations. Committee chairman Haji Muzaffar Hussain said that in a memorandum submitted to the SDO, the hospital has been demanded to sanitize the hospital twice a day and provide medicines and food regularly to the patients of the hospital. He said that the administration has been requested to take special care that there is no inconvenience to the hospitalized patients. After giving the memorandum, he said that besides sanitizing the hospital regularly, special attention should be given to cleanliness here. Health workers must provide other necessary equipment, including masks, hand gloves. He said that if their demands are not met soon, then in future they will be forced to do vigorous agitation.
