Malda: The Malda district administration has announced to start a ‘tele class’ for students from the month of August. For tele class, children will not need to come to school but only teachers will reach the students through television. At present, this system has been introduced for students of class IX, 10th, 11th and 12th. Two classes were recorded on Monday in the district administrative building. According to the district administrative sources, the tele class will start from 11 am which will last for about 3 hours. The system of tele class has been introduced on Saturday adopting the concept of half class. District officer Rajshree Mitra said that a teleclass has been arranged for the students from August 1 on behalf of the district administration. This decision has been taken after consultation with the District Education Department. For this, several cable channels have been negotiated with service provider. He said that students will be greatly benefited by Tele class. On the other hand, District School Viewer (Secondary) Udayan Bhowmik told that tele class is being started on the initiative of District Officer. He said that in the first phase there will be class of ninth and tenth and in the second phase, 11th and 12th class.
