Siliguri, July 26: Soil and water were sent from Siliguri for the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya. It is learned that today, on behalf of the Siliguri branch of the World Hindu Council, two monks left for Ayodhya with all those items.

Incidentally, after collecting water from the rivers Mahananda and Teesta in Siliguri and the soil of Gulma Shiva Temple, Jangli Baba Temple, Pranami Temple, all those materials were sent to Ayodhya.
Laxman Bhanshal, district secretary of the World Hindu Council, said the prime minister would pay homage to the land of the Ram temple on August 5.
In order to build the Ram temple, the whole of North Bengal including Siliguri as well as the religious places of Sikkim, the birthplace of great men, rivers and temple lands were collected and sent. He appealed to all the countrymen to light lamps and worship at home on August 5.
