Seven days lockdown in Siliguri again
Siliguri, 21 July. The lock-down has been extended for the next seven days in view of the rising case of corona in Siliguri. The first seven-day lock down ends tomorrow. Earlier today, this decision was taken in an administrative meeting held in the presence of Tourism Minister Gautam Dev regarding the latest state of Corona at Siliguri State Guest House. Besides the minister, the district ruler of Panjila, S. Pannam Balam Mahakama ruler Sumanto Sahay and members of the task force team formed to monitor the condition of Corona virus in North Bengal were present in the meeting. In today’s meeting, the current conditions of wells in Siliguri and its surroundings and various measures for their prevention were discussed in detail. After the meeting, Minister Gautam Dev told that the lockdown is being implemented for seven days once again to Siliguri. He said that in view of the increasing case of corona in Siliguri, the time of lockdown has been extended for 7 days. He said that except the fish market of the regulated market during lock down, the vegetable and fruit market will remain open and the SJDA market of Champsari will remain open, everything else will be closed. The outline of the lockdown will remain the same. Apart from this, the decision of the lockdown of 2 days has been taken by the state government. After these 7 days the DM will meet and it will be decided again who will be closed for 2 days in a week.
