new Delhi: Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty Has alleged before the Supreme Court that the actor Sushant Singh Rajput The father has used his ‘influence’ in registering an FIR against him in Patna, accusing him of forcing his son to commit suicide.
Sushant Singh Rajput was found hanging in his apartment in Bandra, a suburban area of Mumbai, on 14 June last month. Since then, Mumbai Police is investigating the case keeping various aspects in mind. Riya filed a petition in the Supreme Court on Wednesday and requested to transfer this FIR lodged against her from Patna to Mumbai. The petition said that the charge against Riya in the FIR gives a glimpse of ‘influence used’ by Rajput’s father to illegally implicate him (Riya) in the case.
The petition states, ‘Yachiktar is an actress and she has been in the acting world since 2012. In the bizarre facts and circumstances, the petitioner has been falsely implicated by registering this case on the instigation of Krishna Kishore Singh, the father of the deceased. Riya confesses in her application that she was living with Rajput. The petition says that he is deeply shocked by the death of the actor and the rape and death threats he is receiving.
The petition states, “The petitioner has also received several threats to kill and rape, and is deeply shocked by the death of the deceased.” According to Riya, he has also lodged a complaint with the Shantakruz police station for threats of rape and murder. He said, ‘It is pertinent to mention that the deceased and the petitioner lived together for a year till July 8, 2020. After that she temporarily moved to her residence in Mumbai.
It has been said in the application, ‘The deceased (Sushant) was in depression for some time and he was taking medicines for this. Sushant committed suicide by hanging himself at his residence in Bandra on 14 June 2020. Reports of unnatural deaths were filed at Bandra police station in Mumbai ….. ‘Riya said that Bandra police called her several times and recorded her statements and she understands that Mumbai police investigation is still going on and forensic Report is awaited.
He said that Section 177 of the CrPC provides that every crime should be investigated and heard by the magistrate under whose jurisdiction the offense has been committed. He said that if there is any truth in the case registered by Sushant’s father, then the jurisdiction of investigation of crime will be in Bandra police station.
