Private hospital in Patna not interested in Corona investigation, DM asks for answer

Patna: Bihar In Corona cases are constantly increasing. Even after the lockdown in the state, the number of corona infected is increasing every day. The number of corona infected in the state has increased to 33511. At the same time, in view of the circumstances of the corona, Patna District Collector Kumar Ravi has given instructions to make proper arrangements for treatment of corona patients in private hospitals besides government hospitals.

For this, 18 hospitals in Patna have been identified. For this, the District Magistrate held a meeting with the managers of the private hospital on July 17 and instructed them to set up isolation wards and arrange beds for the treatment of corona infected in their hospitals.

But on July 23, in a review meeting of private hospitals, it was found that no arrangement has been made by these hospitals for the treatment of Kovid-19 infected and neither is showing interest by some hospital management in this regard.

Taking this irresponsible attitude of private hospitals seriously, the District Magistrate has summoned the reply within 24 hours after clarifying with the manager of 5 private hospitals. He has asked why legal action should not be initiated for his attitude under Bihar Epidemic Disease, Kovid-19 Regulations 2020.

The hospitals to which the manager has been summoned reply include Hitech Emergency, Rajeshwar Hospital, Jagdish Memorial Hospital, Sahyog Hospital, Midversal Hospital. Currently, Corona is being treated at AIIMS Hospital, NMCH and IGIMS in Patna.
