Alipurduar, 19 July. When the child passes an examination, the parents get immense happiness, but in Alipurduar district of West Bengal, something different is being seen. Payal Sarkar, a resident of Ramakrishna Palli of Hidayet Nagar in Falakata Block, has secured a good score in the Higher Secondary Examination this year. His mother is less happy, more worried. The reason for this is poverty. Payal’s mother Anjali Sarkar told that due to poverty she is not able to teach her daughter further. Her husband has been in bed for the last 5 months due to illness. The whole family is reeling from the economic downturn, somehow the house is moving. He told that his daughter Payal Sarkar, who was studying in Jateshwar High School, got 467 marks in the Higher Secondary Examination this year and brightened the name of the district. Her daughter, daughter, wants to serve people by writing and becoming a nurse in future. Payal’s father Ranjit Sarkar was injured in a road accident. They have been bedridden since then. Mother Anjana Devi is worried about the daughter’s future. He told that he is unable to study his daughter further. He pleaded for help from the government.
