Siliguri: In the Ghoshpukur area of ​​the Hangedwa block of Siliguri department, the entire area was stirred up due to the death of a motorcycle driver due to the impact of a sand-laden dumper. According to the information, Prasanjeet Singh (35), a resident of the same area, died due to a dumper attack in Ghoshpukur area on Wednesday night. After the incident, people set fire to four dumper loaded with sand. Three dumps were burnt to ashes while one dumper suffered partial damage. On seeing the opportunity here, the driver and the driver of the dumper escaped from the spot. At the same time, Achint Gupta, DSP (Rural), Darjeeling, reached the spot with the police team force of the Hangedwa police station and started investigating the incident. Two fire engines from Matigada reached the spot and started extinguishing the fire. The locals alleged that the sand mafia is illegally running their activities in this area. Not only this, these people say that sand loaded dumps go through the path at high speed, so that there is always a possibility of accident here. Here, police took possession of the body last night and sent it to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem. DSP (Rural) Achint Gupta said that only after investigating the incident can it be said with certainty.
