new Delhi: The country’s capital in Delhi Delhi University Delhi Police arrest three miscreants who take robbery of Examiner and his mother as hostages with pistol Crime Branch Arrested on Thursday. Three lakh 77 thousand cash, mobile and silver coin purchased from the robbery money have been recovered from the accused. The accused have been identified as Mohammad Chand, a resident of Nehru Vihar, Javed and Salim, a resident of Loni in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. Apart from this, the remaining absconding miscreants have been identified, they too will be arrested soon.
Crime Branch DCP Rakesh Paveria told that Sunil Sharma, a resident of Nehru Vihar, told that on July 26, five-six people took him and his elderly mother hostage on the strength of his mobile phone, 14 lakh 25 thousand cash, 35- Looted 40 Tola gold jewelery and about 500 grams of silver jewelery. During this time, the accused injured his mother. Then Dayalpur police station registered a case and started investigation.
At the same time, the crime branch inspected the spot and examined the CCTV footage. The CDR was investigated after gathering information about the suspects in the case. On July 30, SI Deepak Pandey and Ashok received information that the accused crooks were coming to Chand Bagh with the stolen goods. On the basis of the information, the team under the leadership of Inspector Videsh Singhal and Vinod Ahlawat was posted on Wazirabad Road near Chand Bagh. Police caught Mohammad Chand, Javed and Salim from here. In the interrogation, Mohammad Chand said that he was immersed in debt due to gambling, he was under pressure to repay the debt. He knew Sunil Sharma’s family.
Mohammad Chand said that once Sunil Sharma’s sister had told about the cash and jewelery kept at home. He conspired to rob cash and jewelery and involved his friends Javed, Salim and Raju. Raju also included his companions Shariq and Rais. Raju, Shariq and Rais arranged for the rampage and committed robbery on 26 July.
After this, accused Raju gave two lakh rupees to Mohammad Chand, one and a half lakh rupees and 50 thousand rupees from the looted cash and absconded with the rest of the cash and gold jewelery. During the robbery, Salim took out 25 thousand rupees from Sunil Sharma’s pocket. From which he bought a mobile which has been recovered. The crime branch is searching for the remaining accused.
