Jharkhand: Government committed to provide fair price to farmers, market committees will be strengthened

Ranchi: Jharkhand The Agriculture Minister Badal Patilkh has given many instructions to the officials in the review meeting today. He said that till August 15, all the farmers of the state have been instructed to be linked with PM Kisan Yojana. It also said that Seed Day will be celebrated on 25th May every year in the state.

The Agriculture Minister said that the state government will soon issue a helpline number to solve the problems of farmers. In order to encourage organic farming, organic certification centers will be opened in every district of the state.

He said that there is a need to work together to fulfill the goal set by the government. Departmental officers have the responsibility of meeting the government’s target. The challenges we have got due to the Kovid-19 global epidemic, we have to turn them into opportunities.

Due to the global epidemic of Kovid-19, there has been a high number of migrant laborers in the state. We have to go among them and instill confidence in them and encourage them for farming and ensure that they get maximum benefit of the schemes being run by the government for the benefit of farmers.

The Agriculture Minister said that till August 15, connect all the farmers of the state with the PM Kisan Yojana. Ensure that no farmer is left out of this scheme. The Department of Agriculture will play an important role in emerging out of the Kovid-19 tragedy.

The Agriculture Minister said that we also have to strengthen the market committees. We have to raise it in a new color so that the objective of the market committee can be achieved 100 percent. Addressing the agricultural officials, he said that district level agricultural officials should go from village to village to encourage farmers for organic farming.

The state government is committed to motivate the farmers of Jharkhand for organic farming and to give them a fair price for their produce, for this, an organic certification center will be opened in every district.

The minister said that an annual calendar is being prepared by the department in which dates will be set for agricultural works. From next year on May 25 every year will be celebrated as Seed Day. He said that agricultural machinery is very essential for agricultural work, so it is to be ensured that agricultural machinery is accessible to all farmers.

Agriculture Minister Badal directed all the officials to ask for quick solutions to the problems of the farmers. The state government is also going to issue a helpline number soon, on which farmers can place their problems and their quick execution can be done with ease.

He said that due to Kovid-19 epidemic in the state, a large number of migrant laborers have returned. The state government is considering identifying these migrant laborers soon and giving them a package, for which a provision of Rs 200 crore has been made. The Agriculture Minister instructed all the officials associated with the department to encourage farmers for agricultural loans.

Agriculture Department Secretary Abubakar Siddiqui P said that agricultural work is going on even during the Kovid-19 epidemic and more and more people are getting involved in agricultural work. We have to ensure the distribution of seeds at the right time to them so that the farmer can get maximum benefit by using the right amount at this time, in which the rains have also been very good.

He instructed all agricultural officials that farmers who have missed the PM Kisan Yojana should also cover them under this scheme. He said that the KCC campaign is going on. Make sure to complete it by the end of this month. Try to get farmers loans by coordinating with the bank.

Take a tour of the officer field. Encourage farmers by establishing contact with them. He said that from the point of view of agriculture, the coming two-three months are very important for the farmers, we have to work with this in mind and do not waste time.

Agriculture Director Manoj Kumar said that the Kharif Workshop 2020 has been organized with the aim of benefiting the farmers of the state. We have to provide full benefit of this time to the farmers.
