new Delhi: Riya Chakraborty’s plea in Sushant Singh Rajput case will be heard on August 5 in the Supreme Court. The petition will be heard by Justice Hrishikesh Roy. Today the Maharashtra government has also filed its caveat in this case, stating that during the hearing of Riya’s plea, the Supreme Court of Maharashtra should also listen and not issue any unilateral order on Riya’s plea. The Bihar government and Sushant Singh Rajput’s father have also filed their own caveats in the case.
In fact, in Sushant Singh Rajput death case, Riya Chakraborty has filed a petition in the Supreme Court demanding that the police action in the FIR lodged in Patna Bihar be stopped and the investigation be transferred from Bihar to Mumbai where in this case Investigation is already underway. Police in two places cannot investigate a case.
The lawyer said that when the investigation is already going on in Mumbai and people are fully aware of it, then it is illegal to file a case on the same incident in the same case in Bihar and the old decisions of the Supreme Court are ignored.
There are many decisions of the Supreme Court, in which the Supreme Court has transferred the FIR registered in several states in the same case to the police of the state that started the investigation.
Riya has said in the petition filed in the Supreme Court that she was in the live in with Sushant. Riya said that the allegations leveled against her are false. After Sushant’s death, he received threats of murder and rape, which has been complained to the Mumbai Police. Riya said that there cannot be a fair inquiry into the FIR registered against him in Bihar, so the investigation of FIR registered in Patna should be transferred to Mumbai.
