While informing the customers on Friday, Maruti Suzuki India said that the new model has a BS-6 powertrain engine of 1.5 liter capacity equipped with smart hybrid technology. The company sells the S-Cross through its Nexa network, earlier this model was available only in diesel engine option. During the beginning, Fiat had a 1.6 liter engine, after that it started using a 1.3 liter powertrain engine.
According to MSI Director (Sales and Distribution) Shashank Srivastava, S-Cross has created a distinct identity in the Nexa portfolio, which is among Nexa’s flagship products. Talking about the model’s over all business, its 1.25 lakh units have been sold so far.

Talking about the price, the price of the S-Cross that comes with the petrol engine is expected to be slightly higher than the earlier diesel model. The price of S-Cross diesel was between Rs 8.81 lakh and Rs 11.44 lakh, that’s why the price of petrol model is expected to be close to Rs 9 lakh.
