Anand has made several small budget films in a decade so far and one of his films is ready for release and another is in the final stages of shooting. Talking about the lockdown, Anand told our partner website WION, “It was nice to stay at home for a week, but after a point I could not remain idle. I was in high demand for essential and long queues in the shops. Was watching. So the idea of โ€‹โ€‹starting this came up. “

Anand said that despite having no experience in setting up or running a store, he decided to invest a small amount and started searching for an empty commercial space near his house. He said, “The friend who rented me a place was in my support, most of my colleagues in the cinema industry were not happy with my decision. But I wanted to move forward because some income would come from here and I would be able to support people.” Can help. “

He said that the store has been operating since mid-June and it has been going well, “I put a board outside my shop about the price of some essential items, I would like some type of pulses and a small discount of rice varieties I also give it. It keeps getting crowded and mouth publicity through friends and regular customers. Today there are 5 people working in the store with me. “

Anand also recalled the five low-budget films that he has done so far and are in limbo for release and said that he thinks OTT platform and online release are the way forward. “For small filmmakers like us, the release of OTT means a lot. Even platforms don’t have to spend much to buy their films.”

Anand said that he is hoping that his upcoming film ‘Naanum Pei Dhawan’ and a ‘Thunindhu Sei’ in the pipeline will get an OTT offer soon.
