Jhabua (Madhya Pradesh): Madhya Pradesh (Madhya Pradesh) On the suspicion of an alleged love affair in the tribal-dominated Jhabua district of Jaya, a tribal woman’s in-laws punished her with inhuman punishment and beat her husband on the shoulder and drove him across the village.
Video of the incident is going viral on social media. While taking action on the report of the victim woman, on Thursday night, five accused including her husband have been arrested, while two of the accused are still absconding.
The incident took place on Tuesday in the village Chhapari Ranwasa under Jhabua Kotwali, about 15 km from Jhabua district headquarters. Its video went viral on Wednesday night. In the video, after putting her husband on the shoulder of the woman, some men came to roam in the village, beating her. The crowd remained a spectacle.

Jhabua district Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Gupta said on Friday, ‘This incident has happened due to social malpractices. Seven accused have been made in the incident. All of these victims are relatives of the woman. He said that a case has been registered against all these accused under various sections of IPC.
Gupta said that Dittu Singad, Jithra Singad, Shankar Bhabhar and Bhuru Singad have been arrested late Thursday night along with the woman’s husband Badia Singad. He said that the woman’s brother-in-law Kalia and Jethani Dhani Bai are still absconding. The police is trying to arrest them.
Gupta told that the victim was married three years ago to a young man named Badiya of Chapari Ranwasa. Gupta said that the report of the case was lodged by the victim woman on Jhabua Kotwali on Wednesday night.
