Dhupguri, July 26: The condition of Dhupguri-Nathuagami road is dilapidated. Residents protested by planting rice saplings in the streets demanding reforms. Residents of Dhupguri Town Mandal BJP Youth Front led the protest.

Residents complained that for the last two years, a hole has been created in about 1 km of state road from Dhupguri to Nathuagami. As a result, ordinary people are constantly facing accidents. Residents claim that small and big accidents happen every day.

Dhupguri Municipality is not taking any initiative to renovate Netajipara Road. For this reason, they blocked the road and protested.

Upon receiving the news, a large police force of Dhupguri police station reached the spot. Residents protested around the police. Youth Morcha activists got involved in an argument with the police.

Youth Morcha activists said the blockade would not be lifted until the vice chairman of the municipality himself came and assured them of road repairs. The long blockade caused traffic jams. Eventually, BJP activists lifted the blockade on the assurance of the police.
