Things of the capital Patna
On the one hand, there are complaints that the state does not have adequate corona test and treatment, on the other hand, the negligence of hospitals has also come to the fore. In the capital Patna itself, DM has asked 5 private hospitals to respond within 24 hours, seeking clarification on the charge of not cooperating in the treatment of corona infected. If found to be true, legal action will be taken against them under Bihar Academic Disease, Kovid-19 Regulations 2020. Under this, answers have been sought from the management of Hitech Emergency, Rajeshwar Hospital, Jagdish Memorial Hospital, Sahyog Hospital and Midbhursal Hospital.
In fact, in view of the increasing number of corona patients, the District Magistrate had directed to ensure proper treatment of corona patients in private hospitals in addition to government hospitals, but these hospitals are accused of not taking appropriate steps in this direction.
The court asked for an answer
Amid growing Corona cases, the Patna High Court on Friday directed the Bihar government to give details of the steps taken to tackle the epidemic in the state. A division bench of Chief Justice Sanjay Karol and Justice Sanjay Kumar also asked the state government to present district-wise information about how many tests were conducted and how many tests were proposed to be conducted. The court also questioned how many hospitals have been notified as special Kovid-19 centers?
The bench also asked the government to tell how many isolation centers are there in the hospitals. The court also sought information about the facilities for patients, number of doctors, para-medical staff, number of ventilators and oxygen cylinders. The court passed the directive on a PIL filed by Dinesh Kumar Singh. Dinu Kumar, counsel for the petitioner, argued that the number of corona virus patients in the state is increasing rapidly and there is no adequate system of tests and treatment. The next hearing in the case will be on August 7.
