Kolkata: The entire lockdown dates have been changed from the lock down till August 31, announced by Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. Mamata Banerjee had announced that there would be a lockdown in West Bengal till August 31, in which the entire lockdown was announced for 16 days, while speaking to the media at the state secretariat on Tuesday. There was complete lockdown on August 2 and 9. But now the Home Department has changed these dates. The entire lockdown dates include August 2, 5,9, 16, 17, 23, 24 and 31 in addition to August 2. Now the state home department has tweeted a tweet. It states that after the declaration of complete lockdown of 16 days across the state, calls are coming from various sections, which have not been appealed for complete lockdown on some dates. Respecting the sentiments of the people, the state government has decided not to go for complete lockdown on August 2 and 9. August 2 is Eid and August 9 is World Aboriginal Day. It is noteworthy that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee said that in August there is a possibility of corona virus infection rising, so people need to be more vigilant.
